| Friday | Departure to Guatemala highlands to visit two of the icons of the area, Zunil and Almolonga. Zunil and Almolonga, beautiful traditional Quiche towns are located nine kilometers from the capital of Quetzaltenango. Zunil is known for is regional dress, jaspe cloth, worn daily by Guatemalan women, and Almolonga is known for the largest orchard in the country. | Saturday | To get more involved with locals and their traditions this day you will visit Momostenango & Chiantla. Momostenango is located 13 kilometers from Totonicapan. It is an important textile production center (wool blankets) and is famous for the Momosteco ponchos that are made there. The 260-day Maya calendar is still in use there. Momostenango means City of the Altars. Chiantla is located seven kilometers from the city of Huehuetenango. It is a center for pilgrimages, and its church houses an image of the Candelaria Virgin, worked in silver with filigree raiment, made between 1560 and 1580. The church dates back to beginning of the 18th Century. There are many workers in the town who produce bronze items. | Huehuetenango |
| Sunday | Early in the morning depart for Chichicastenango, one of the highlights of the living Maya highlands. In Chichicastenango visit the second largest outdoor market in Latin America; Santo Tomas church; morerías and Cerro Pascual Abaj. | Monday | Take a scenic boat ride across the lake passing by the three impressive volcanoes. The tour stops in Santiago Atitlán, one of the 12 native villages surrounding the lake. At the village you will you will walk with your guide to find the house where the Maya God Maximon resides, once there you may see a local shaman performing rituals for locals.
